SONEPAR USA’S VIKING ELECTRIC SUPPLY ANNOUNCES GRAND OPENING OF NEW FACILITY IN MADISON, WI

MINNEAPOLIS , Minn., November 30, 2007 – Viking Electric Supply, a subsidiary of Sonepar USA, announced the Grand Opening of its new Madison, Wisc. location, making it the 12th Viking Electric location in the state and 23rd location overall.

The new facility features approximately 20,000 square feet, with a state-of-the-art 2,000-square-foot showroom floor, a 14,000-square-foot fully stocked warehouse and office space as well.

“Although Viking has been calling on contractors in Madison for quite some time, there was an overwhelming feeling that in order to meet all the needs of our customers, we needed to be close and convenient to meet their day-to-day business needs.” stated Greg Hames, president of Viking Electric. “ Madison is the 4 th Viking location to open in Southern WI in the past 2 years starting with Milwaukee in January 2006 followed by Kenosha and Delafield. We are committed to the area and the customers we serve,” Hames concluded.

“Our brand-new facility, which opened its doors to the public in late August, 2007, already holds an inventory valued at more than $1.5 million,” stated Brett Wilson, Madison General Manager, Viking Electric. Through this new location, Viking has become the only distributor in Madison to cut and parallel colored feeder wire through 500MCM.

Viking Electric’s new Madison location has a diverse staff made up of experienced Viking Electric veterans. In addition to Wilson, who has more than 13 years of electric distribution experience, Operations Manager Chuck Walls has more than nine years of industry experience, all with Viking. His experience with the construction of the Viking-Oshkosh location, along with his recent work in Madison, has earned him a trusted reputation among his peers.
